What are decorative aggregates?

Decorative aggregates are natural or manufactured stones used to enhance the appearance of outdoor and indoor spaces. They come in various sizes, colours, and textures and are often used in driveways, gardens, pathways, and landscaping projects.

How do I choose the right decorative aggregate?

Consider:

Purpose – e.g., pathways vs. driveways vs. decorative beds.
Colour scheme – matches your garden, patio, or property style.
Size and texture – affects drainage, comfort, and aesthetics.
Maintenance – some aggregates are easier to clean than others.

How do I maintain decorative aggregates?

Regularly remove debris, leaves, and weeds.
Replenish aggregates as needed to maintain depth and coverage.
Rinse with water to keep colours vibrant.
Apply a stabiliser if used in high-traffic areas.

Are decorative aggregates eco-friendly?

Many decorative aggregates are natural stones and recyclable. Choosing local aggregates can also reduce the carbon footprint associated with transport.

Delivery information

We deliver Monday - Friday.
Delivery for bulk bags is via a 18 tonne Hiab lorry which is 12 meters long 4 meters high and 3 meters wide. Delivery made off the side of the lorry only and up to 8 meters from kerbside. Any deliveries made off the main highway will be completed at customers own risk and liability.

Can I use decorative aggregates indoors?

Yes! Small pebbles or polished stones can be used in planters, water features, or as accents in flooring and interior design.

How much decorative aggregate do I need?

This depends on the area and depth:
Calculate area (length × width).
Decide on depth (usually 25–50mm for decorative beds, 75–100mm for driveways).
Multiply area by depth to estimate volume needed.

Do decorative aggregates require a base?

For most applications, yes. Driveways and paths benefit from a compacted base of sand or crushed stone to prevent shifting and improve stability.
